PIMS 5.0 released - December 2011Coming hot on the heels of the very successful Version 4 that introduced PIMSforms™ we're happy to announce the release of PIMS 5.0 with its new look and a number of productivity improvements. More control over the calendar in your own websiteAs well as providing more features to customise the simple availability calendar for each property, we have launched a new, faster, simpler calendar to present multiple properties in the same calendar. Printing the booking infoUsers asked for it, so we built some cool summary pages that you can print for each of your bookings. Whether printing just one booking or a careful selection of many bookings, the data is presented neatly, succintly and completely within one page per booking. Setting up your price list/rate cardAnybody who has set up their price list on any of the popular Listing sites will know what a chore this is when you have multiple date periods, or seasons. And anyone with multiple properties to setup, particularly when the date ranges for each property are the same will understand the duplication of effort required for each property. Not so with PIMS. Create it once, and copy for all subsequent properties. Enquiry conversionIts nice to know which Listing sites or other advertising sources are bringing in the enquiries, which produce most bookings and/or Revenue, but yet another measure of the "quality" of leads is the Conversion ratio - what proportion of enquiries convert ?. PIMS V5.0 offers a new graphical view comparing the ratios for each of your advertising sources. Multi-unit properties (subscribers with the Gold plan or higher)A multi-unit property is one which can be sold as a total unit for large parties, or broken into individual smaller units for different parties of guests. For example a 3 storey house for 12 people, which could also be sold as 3 separate flats of 4 persons each, or perhaps a Gite complex of multiple separate smaller properties which could also be sold to larger parties taking more than one Gite in the booking. Typically, you will set up separate "properties" for each of the sub units and another one for the whole. Then when you take enquiries and bookings for linked "properties", you have to remember to block out the dates that would otherwise conflict. By setting up the links between these sub-units and the master unit, PIMS will now do all that for you - automatically, and it will block out all calendars, including any appropriate listing calendars for you. |
